I saw a magazine for only “mixed” women. That’s not who the audience was but it was who the magazine featured. Seriously?
It bugs me out when people blame other people for their lack of success. Ultimately you are responsible for you. If someone helps you out and get started, then it’s up to you to do the rest. Carry on the torch. Do you. When it’s all said and done, if you haven’t accomplished a lot it’s your fault. It has nothing to do with the person who gave you the start unless they are powerful and slandered your name. If you’re an adult and you’re complaining about something because someone didn’t continue doing something for you, then you’re a baby. Grow up. (ya hear me Beanie Siegel?)
This Chris Brown/ Rihanna thing is annoying me now and it’s no longer a matter of what happened that night. Now, it’s a matter of who has the best marketing team. Chris Brown has been doing damage control on the black circuit. (Wendy Williams, Angie Martinez, etc). Rihanna went hardcore. Straight to primetime TV with Diane Sawyer (or whoever…I didn’t watch). Both have albums coming out. Coincidence? While I don’t condone that type of violence, I would appreciate their promotional teams not using them or the situation as a pawn for CD sales or advancement………..
We’re approaching the time of year….Holidays. People lose their minds in parking lots, in stores looking for the latest Elmo and more importantly, holidays parties. Geesh. Last year I boycotted — well– I just chose not to go. This year……….who knows………..
