What do you think?
You know what they say right?
Thoughts become actions.
Not just in the positive sense. But in the negative as well.
One of my pet peeves are people who complain ALL THE TIME. The minute you ask them how they’re doing, it’s like the floodgates open.
“Ohhh these damn bills”….”Ohhh my man is an idiot”…….”Oohhh this chick is getting on my nerves”…….”Ohhhh I can’t find a man”………..”Ohh life sucks”
*Yawn*
No disrespect. I know times are hard but can you find something to celebrate about life? Anything? How about the fact that you’re breathing to say those complaints?
Anything?
When my mom was raising me as a single mom, working two jobs, basically busting her backside, I rarely heard her complain to someone outside of family, that life was kicking her butt. She smiled, said everything was good, and took it in stride unless of course she really needed help.
I guess she passed that on me and it took me a while to get here but I’m here. Even if things are bad, if you ask me, 9 times out of 10, I’ll tell you that everything is good because I don’t want you in my business and everything really is good, I’m just going through a bump in the road. Everyone has to go through some type of journey but not everyone seems to learn the lessons.
I cut a good amount of people from my life just because of their attitudes and after being be-friended by a few on Facebook recently, I’m glad I did what I did. Some were negative to me. Some weren’t exactly supportive. As much as I tried to be supportive to them, they negate me. Then all of sudden it felt like their life became my life.
And when I told someone to “stop bringing the world into their problems” , they got mad and called me selfish. Good riddins’…..
If you make a bad decision, well, it’s a bad decision. Deal with it and correct course along the way.
Be responsible for your own actions. Then get back to handling your business.
Will smith always says that are thoughts are PHYSICAL…if you say or even THINK (say without speaking outloud) something is going to happen…eventually it WILL happen.
A person really has to re-train themselves because we are really socialized to complain. I have a friend who only calls when sh!t in his world is all wrong. I’m dying to tell him to stop searching for the t!tty and wean himself but…your girl is too enlightened, lol!
I co-sign this one. It’s recession, people are dealing with financial issues, health issues, hell…
Who has time for everyone’s pity parties? Get up, get out and get something.
You know and I know that some people just like to be miserable, and misery loves company [cliché but true]. I have my days where I’m a little bitchy but it’s a day, NOT A MONTH!!
I co-sign that.
I’ve been fairly happy with my life lately… actually since the end of 2008. That’s when I learned that to able to run in this life, I’d have to “lose weight.” So all the people that were making me heavier with their “fatty” negative attitudes, I’ve cut them out. Since Jan 2009, I’ve been in the best mental shape of my life. Even this year in 2009, I’ve made new acquaintances that I’ve had to quickly cut loose to maintain my stride.
There are two kinds of problems/people you’ll deal with. Those you can fix, and those you can’t. I fix the ones I can, and I ignore the rest. Not worth the energy.
LMAO.. is this why ppl stop talking to me because I’m selfish because I tell them that to get a life and stop dealing with the drama? geez.. LOL
no need for the complaining cause someone else got a bigger problem than you!
A-men! I told a friend of mine not to call me anymore until she could tell me at least three good things going on in her life – I was tired of listening to her whining and complaining all the time. Haven’t heard from her since. Which is now one of the good things going on in my life
